In the June 5 issue of WaterLife we shared some key highlights from GMA Research about the 2024 Seattle Boat Show. We continue to mine the extensive data and insights gleaned from the more than 2,000 respondents and will share them with you throughout the summer.
We know guests love the show (as evidenced by the 75% Net Promoter score – up from 72% in 2023) and the 81% of respondents who indicated the show either met or exceeded expectations. But we wanted to dig a little deeper so this year we asked a new question: If this was not your first time visiting the Seattle Boat Show, how frequently do you come? A whopping 63% come every year and 27% come every two to three years. We’ve always known that the show is a tradition in many families that goes back many decades but we are very pleased to have the data confirm that we have a very loyal customer base.
We’d also suggest that exhibitors take note – when was the last time you changed or refreshed your display or added new items or activities to your display? With 90% of attendees coming every 1-3 years, you want to make sure you have something new to entice them.
