Over 2,000 guests completed the survey created by GMA Research and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive! The survey measured the importance of show features, ticket prices, show hours, shuttles, seminars, food, beverages, promotions and more. Verbatim responses collected from guests and YOY comparison from research in 2023 allows NMTA to understand if the show is meeting attendee expectations. Key findings this year were:

  1. Guest Satisfaction: Guests reported high levels of satisfaction with 81% indicating the show either met or exceeded expectations. Comparing 2023 to 2024, the 2024 Average Guest rating (1 to 5) was 4.20 vs 3.98 in 2023 with 81% falling in the “Very + Somewhat Satisfied” rating vs 73% in 2023.

  2. Likelihood to Recommend: The Net Promoter Score (NPS) was 75% (vs 72% in 2023) indicating a significant percentage of guests are likely to recommend the show to friends, relatives, and colleagues interested in boating, fishing, and other water sports.

  3. Show Feature Importance: Attendees rated show features based on their importance in deciding to attend the event. The variety and number of boats and accessories, as well as show hours and free shuttle services, were highly valued by guests. See graph below.

  4. Suggestions for Improvement:  Guest feedback suggests more seating areas, healthier food options, parking discounts, online seminars, longer show hours, and a greater variety of vendors and accessories would improve the guest experience.

We are pleased the survey shows a vastly positive guest experience, with areas of strength to maintain and areas for improvement to address in future shows.
