Reminder: October 19 Puget Sound Sportfishing Special Meeting

NMTA President/CEO George Harris with family friend and her first ever Chinook salmon (hatchery). NMTA strongly supports investment in salmon hatcheries and selective fishing (non-retention of unmarked wild Chinook and coho). NMTA seeks reopening of recently closed Puget Sound winter Chinook sport fishing seasons consistent with NMFS conservation objectives and minimizing emergency in-season management.

Please join NMTA president/CEO George Harris, vp & director of government affairs Jay Jennings, sportfishing lobbyist Carl Burke and sportfishing advisor Pat Pattillo for a discussion about NMTA’s Puget Sound sportfishing advocacy work and our outlook for 2024. Meetings are slated for two locations, Oct. 19: the South Sound meeting at Sportco in Fife at 8 a.m., and the North Sound meeting at Harbor Marine in Everett at 5 p.m.
