Despite weather that felt more like March than May—with below average temperatures and a mix of rain, wind, and sunshine—the Anacortes Boat & Yacht Show featuring Trawlerfest cruised ahead with confidence. From Thursday to Saturday last week, our 99 exhibitors, 240 boats, and hardworking staff kept spirits high and docks bustling.
Showgoers from 31 states joined us for the event, with 2,831 attendees over three days. While this was slightly below 2024’s total of 3,484, our numbers reflect strictly redeemed tickets and do not include exhibitors, marina tenants who opted out, or guests who bypassed check-in.
What we may have lacked in volume, we made up for in value—many exhibitors reported strong interest and engaged, qualified buyers throughout the show. The energy on the docks and inside the tent spoke volumes about the show’s proven appeal.
Said Amy Ripley, owner, BananaBelt Boats: “OMG – this was the BEST Anacortes Boat Show we’ve ever had! WOW!”
Other notable comments we received include:
“We had a great show and a record May for our business,” said Shawn Ottenbreit of Freedom Boat Club and Salish Sea Boat Company, who also serves as a Port of Anacortes Commissioner. “To have such a high-calibre and well-attended event hosted in Anacortes is a significant benefit to the regional recreational boating market. The Port of Anacortes is proud to host this event in the world-class Cap Sante Marina and looks forward to continuing this tradition in support of our local marine industry.”
“I taught seven Trawlerfest classes and had a booth at the show. It was a fantastic show! NMTA does such an amazing and professional job,” said Phyllis Woolwine of Shearwater University.
