The University of Washington Sea Grant’s Recreational Boat Sales Dashboard now has first-quarter Department of Licensing boat sales and registration data. The table below summarizes period over period change for Washington state registrations. The DOL data shows that 2026 new boat registrations in Q1 totaled 586 units with a value of $60.1M compared to 2025 Q1 with 717 new registrations and a value of $78.7M. In 2024 Q1 new registrations (not shown) were 819 units with a value of $79.0M.
