The industry lost an icon with the recent passing of Jerry Husted, the founder of Nordic Tugs. Jerry introduced the first Nordic Tug to the boating community at the 1980 Seattle Boat Show and was responsible for introducing generations of people to the joys of the cruising trawler lifestyle. Husted remained with the company for nearly four decades and is probably best remembered for having conducted sea trials for all but a handful of about 800 boats built during his tenure. He retired from Nordic Tugs at the age of 80 in 2012
