NMTA hosted a sold out NW Marina & Boatyard Conference presented by Marine Floats October 6-8, 2026 in La Conner.
The conference once again proved why it is one of the most valuable annual gatherings for marina and boatyard professionals across the region. Hosted by NMTA, the conference brought together industry leaders, operators, vendors, and partners for timely education, practical insights, and meaningful networking that will continue to support businesses long after the event.
Attendees highlighted both the educational value of the conference and the opportunity to strengthen industry connections. As Dwight Jones of Marina Management LLC shared, “There is one annual conference that continues to shine, NMTA’s Marina and Boatyard Conference. The highlight for me, every year, is networking with friends, colleagues, and vendors. The program was relevant and educational, something for everyone. Hats off to NMTA staff for another great event!”
At the same time, participants emphasized the practical takeaways, from staying ahead of changing marina electrical codes to understanding evolving Department of Ecology and Department of Natural Resources requirements.
“We have attended this NMTA Conference for four years running because it is time and money well invested,” said Hoby Douglass, harbormaster at Nautical Landing Marina. “The agenda hits on all the issues we need to inform our annual operating plan and resources. This is a must-attend annual conference.”
Together, these perspectives underscore why the conference remains a cornerstone event for marina and boatyard professionals throughout the Northwest.
Thank you to Jay Jennings, NMTA VP & Dir. of Government Affairs, for planning a successful conference, and we appreciate all members and partners who participated. NMTA members can access all conference presentations in the members section of the NMTA website.
