Dave, Bill, and Launa Hewes, owners of Hewes Marine Company (HMC) located in Colville, Washington, have announced the sale of HMC and the Hewescraft aluminum boat brand to HMC’s long-time Vice President and Senior Director, David Honeycutt and his family. After a thorough evaluation to identify the best new leadership option for HMC – a family company that’s been in operation for 80 years – David Honeycutt and his family were selected. David has been a member of the company’s leadership team since 2005 and has acted as the senior director for the past 10 years. During that time, HMC has grown into a team of more than 180 employees, and the Hewescraft boat brand has become the #1-selling heavy-gauge, all-welded aluminum boat in the United States.
