Grow Boating in Action: Summer Media Update
NMTA continues to generate strong media exposure this summer, putting recreational boating in front of thousands of potential boaters through television and digital storytelling.

On Monday, KING 5 Evening Magazine hosted their show from Elliott Bay aboard George Harris' boat, capturing the beauty and fun of boating in the heart of Seattle. The segment also featured George giving host Chris Cashman a hands-on lesson in crabbing, covering everything from finding the right spot to identifying legal keeper crab: Elliott Bay crabbing 101.

The momentum continues this week as Evening Magazine heads to Bellingham to spotlight Island Opportunity Charters and the unique access it provides to the San Juan Islands for visitors who don't have their own boats or ferry service to their destination.

Every one of these stories helps reinforce a positive image of boating in the Pacific Northwest, reaching audiences who may never have considered getting out on the water. These earned media opportunities support NMTA's ongoing mission to grow participation in recreational boating.
