
New voices are taking the stage this year at the Northwest Marina & Boatyard Conference, happening October 9 – 10 at its new location in La Conner, WA. This year’s lineup features several first-time speakers bringing fresh insights and deep expertise to the industry.
Kate Anderson, Marketing and Media Coordinator at the Port of Everett, brings a dynamic session titled “Steering Business to Your Docks – and Sea Lions Off Them.” Kate blends practical marketing strategies with real-world marina operations insight.
Dan Berlin, Principal Scientist at Anchor QEA and founder of the Washington Association of Mitigation Banks, will demystify shoreline mitigation with his session “Where Are the Mitigation Banks?” Drawing on 25 years of experience across Puget Sound and beyond, Dan will explore strategies in environmental permitting and shoreline restoration.
Bruce Hayne, Executive Director of Boating BC Association, will present “Good Neighbors and Partners – BC Boating,” offering a cross-border perspective on collaboration and boating industry trends in British Columbia.
