Congratulations to Corinthian Yacht Club who hosted the J/24 Worlds — world championship sailing regatta — at Shilshole Bay Marina in early October. Held annually around the globe since 1982, this was the first time the competition took place in Seattle. The regatta attracted 56 boats from 11 different countries who competed over 5 days of racing. The event garnered a lot of media attention including a  King 5 feature story, promoting the growth of women in sailing. Women made up 23% of participants, including four all-female teams.
