Do you need funding for boating facilities targeting transient recreational vessels 26 feet and larger? If so, we have a grant program for you!

The Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) is now accepting grant applications for the federal Boating Infrastructure Grant (BIG) Program. BIG provides funding to develop and renovate public boating facilities for transient recreational boats 26 feet and larger. Funds may also be used to provide information and enhance boater education. “Transient” in the BIG program means travel to a single facility for day use or staying at a single facility for up to 15 days. Applications are being accepted for both Tier 1 (grant request of $5,000 to $287,907) and Tier 2 (grant request of $300,001 to $1,440,645).

You must submit your grant application through RCO’s PRISM OnlinePre-applications are due by 11:59 pm on June 5, 2025. The final application deadline will be July 17, 2025.
